Studio Spotlight: HOME Wellness
HOME Welnness is a newly opened warm space to enjoy yoga, Pilates and treatments with the best UK and international teachers and therapists. A place for sharing amazing food and for simply hanging out – a place of community.
We caught up with founder Jonathan Sattin to learn more about his background and his inspiration to open HOME.

Tell us a bit about your background and your yoga journey…
In 1985, I was somehow the senior partner in my own West End law firm (not something I had ever wanted to be when I was growing up), fuelled by 14 mugs of coffee a day (each with at least two sugars), 40 cigarettes, and a few other things. I was also playing football, tennis, running, meditating — trying, in my own way, to find some kind of balance.
A partner at the firm suggested I try yoga — his wife had found a teacher, and he thought it might suit me, given I’d always been a bit “left of centre” because I meditated. I remember going to a flat in Parliament Hill for this one on one class and at some point I was lying on the floor with my eyes closed yet seeing a wall of mirrors in my mind and I was running not wanting to look at myself in the mirror. That class was the catalyst to a series of changes, some quick and some slow.
I met John Stirk who became my first asana teacher – within weeks I had quit the coffee and cigarettes and other things. And over a period of time— I noticed other changes in how I worked. And then somehow I found myself in an ashram in India where I met my teacher whom opened my eyes to the practices of yoga. It took some time to step away from my then career but in 1996 I jumped ship. I helped a friend in his setting up and early years of Yo! Sushi, dabbled in other ventures, but it was a friend in LA who said, “Why don’t you just do what you love?” And that’s when triyoga was born.
What inspired you to open HOME Wellness and when did you open the space?
I left triyoga in 2022 after more than two decades. I wasn’t planning on opening another centre — I thought that chapter was done. But after taking some form of break, people were saying how things had changed, and how so many of us feel disconnected even in a world that seemed more digitally connected than ever. My sense is people want somewhere, where they belong, are seen and looked after
That stuck with me.
And then, by some quirk of fate, I found myself back in Primrose Hill — the site of the original triyoga which had been developed when triyoga moved to Camden in 2014— wandering into the courtyard and seeing that most of the buildings were vacant. It was strange and the possibility of opening again was probably a sort of musing rather than a possible reality.
But, the idea and name for HOME was planted there. It was a bit of a journey to get there but we have. It’s not just another studio. We opened our doors on June 29th, 2025 — and for me, it’s a place to (re)build a community, a reimagining from what we’ve learned, a place to give back and serve. A space to reconnect — with practice, with people, with ourselves.
What is your mission with HOME Wellness?
To create a space that genuinely feels like home at all levels. A space where people can experience the highest quality teaching and service in all its meanings.
HOME is a place to practise yoga, Reformer or Equipment Pilates, with the very best teachers. To enjoy a treatment, a far infrared sauna, or a cup of something good from Only Love Kitchen, our plant-forward vegetarian cafe. But above all, it’s a place to connect.
That’s our mission — to offer best-in-class teaching and therapies in an environment built around care, connection and community.
How is HOME Wellness different from other wellness spaces?
It starts with intention. Everything here is designed with thought — not just about what we do, but how it makes people feel.
We have two beautiful studios, with the very best teachers, offering 90+ yoga and mat Pilates classes each week, a Reformer studio with just 8 beds for focused attention, Equipment Pilates for one on one, small groups or rehab and performance, two treatment rooms, and a far-infrared sauna.
What advice would you give to someone who is thinking of opening their own wellness space or studio?
Find a good therapist
Do you have a quote or mantra that you live by?
Not all of the time and when I can I try and remember the principle of offering what I do in service.
