Yoga for Pelvic Floor Health
The muscles that support good pelvic floor health can become weakened as a result of pregnancy, childbirth, obesity, straining and simply overtime as we age without actively working to strengthen and support them.
You do not have to wait until you experience bladder leakage when sneezing, jumping, or laughing to start strengthening your pelvic floor and you certainly don’t have to be ashamed if you are already there! This 4 week series is designed to be accessible for all levels of practice and all gender identities are welcome to attend.
Classes will run from September 15 til October 6, 2023 on Friday nights at Love My Mat in Hamilton. The first session will be a special 90 minute class (6:30-8:00pm) where we will learn more about pelvic floor issues, how our day to day habits may be worsening them and what steps we can take to find a more neutral pelvis and healthy pelvic floor. The remaining three classes we will put what we learned into action through 60 minute yoga sessions(6:30-7:30pm) followed by a Yoga practice specifically geared towards strengthening the pelvic floor.
This four week series is $100 +tax with two spots made available each class for those who can not attend all four. (Individual classes are $30 each +tax) With a total of only 8 spots available in each class you will want to be sure to email info@yogawithstacey.ca to reserve your spot.
