Hi friends! How are you? I hope you had an amazing weekend! Ours was a busy one but it was a lot of fun. P crushed her basketball game, we tried a new Tucson restaurant, and started decorating for Halloween.
For today’s post, I wanted to share more details about a product I’ve been loving for the past few weeks: the HigherDOSE red light cap! I love all things HigherDOSE, so needless to say I was pumped when they sent this to me to add to my collection.
HigherDOSE Red Light Hat Review
Red light therapy has grown exponentially as a wellness trend and is going to continue to surge in popularity. I think friends are seeing how easy it is to implement red light therapy into a daily health routine, and there are so many potential benefits. I’m a huge fan of my red light face mask and red light neck enhancer, and the new HigherDOSE red light hat is a convenient biohacking tool that my busy friends out there can use to support their hair growth and scalp health.
It’s so easy for me to wear this hat around because it looks like a regular ol’ baseball cap! The power is hidden underneath. In this post, I’m going to share a full HigherDOSE red light hat review and how you can use this at-home red light therapy in your own routine.
What Is the HigherDOSE Red Light Hat?
The HigherDOSE Red Light Hat uses 650nm red light and is designed to increase blood circulation to the scalp, which can potentially help with hair loss, optimized hair follicle function, and increased growth. It’s designed to be worn for 10 minutes, which makes it super easy to use on a regular basis. Plus, it looks cute!
Benefits of Using Red Light Therapy
Red light therapy can be used for many potential benefits, and it really depends on your goals.
Some of the things red light can do:
– Improve skin health and texture (reduced wrinkles, improved skin texture, , decreased fine lines, and acne)
– Enhance mood and reduce stress
– Increase energy and better sleep quality
– Boost circulation and faster muscle recovery.
Product Design & Technology
The HigherDOSE red light hat has 120 diodes of red light that use FDA-cleared technology known to stimulate hair growth and improve scalp health. It’s zero EMF, too!
The hat itself is like a regular baseball hat, but the inside of the hat is firmer with the red light panels. It’s extremely comfortable to wear.
Potential Benefits for Moms
I think a LOT of us have experienced hair loss post-birth, or just from changing hormones in our 30s and 40s. While I’m a huge believer in looking at the root cause of the problem (like mineral imbalances, hormones, gut health, stress, nutrition, sleep, etc.), this is an easy extra thing to add into the routine, to target the concern in an entirely different way. My personal philsophy is that if it wont hurt me, but has potential exciting benefits, I’m trying it. 😉
This is also a brilliant multitasking tool. You can use it while you’re folding laundry, reading, watching TV, or just doing chores around the house. I’ve found that red light is extremely calming for me, too; it can help alleviate stress and tension that builds up throughout the day.
It can also improve energy levels and mood, which is huge when we’re juggling so many daily tasks.
How to Use the HigherDOSE Red Light Hat
Here’s a guide on how to use the hat!
Here’s how it works:
– You plug in the battery pack to charge and the battery pack clips into the red light hat.
– Turn it on, the hat will illuminate, and place it on your head. and it has a timer for 10 minutes. It will beep when it’s done!
– You’ll get 8-10 sessions on a full battery charge.
– They recommend daily 10-minute sessions, and you should start to see a difference within a couple of months. The first potential benefits are decreased shedding and then visible hair growth.
– After 16 weeks of regular use, drop down to a couple of maintence sessions each week.
*Note: it’s helpful to test an area of your body for photosensitivity before jumping into 10 whole minutes. Start with your elbow for 3 minutes to make sure your skin doesn’t react.
How Much Does the HigherDOSE Red Light Hat Cost?
The hat currently costs $449, which is a STEAL for an at-home biohacking device. I also know many people who have spent a lot of money to improve hair growth and this is like the gift that keeps on giving; you purchase it once and can use it regularly for a long time.
The fact that it can be used at home is a giant time and money saver, too. No time spent commuting to a spa appointment. You just pop it on and go on with your day.
